Defendry is on a mission to revolutionize emergency response by providing affordable technology solutions that help you maximize safety, optimize efficiency, and save lives.
Defendry LLC’s first product — Visual Threat Detection — was launched in January 2019 by serial-tech entrepreneur, Pat Sullivan, utilizing cutting edge, AI threat detection software developed by Dr. Sean Huver, a former Bell Labs research scientist and veteran of numerous United States Department of Defense DARPADefense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) is responsible for the development of emerging technologies for use by the U.S. military projects. Defendry expanded its product offerings in December 2020 by introducing the Defendry Aerial Platform, designed & patented by less-lethal weapons expert, Todd Kramer.
Defendry’s team is comprised of proven innovators, engineers, and scientists who are passionately-driven to help protect people from violent threats. As we like to say, “If we only save one life, it’ll all be worth it.”

Pat Sullivan
FOUNDER & CEO
Pat Sullivan’s name has been widely recognized in the software business for decades as the co-creator of ACT! (the first and best-selling contact manager in the world, selling over 10 million copies) and founder of SalesLogix (the leading mid-market CRM solution as the company grew from $0 to $108M over five years). Pat is a two-time winner of the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Pat also serves as Chairman of the health supplement company, Jigsaw Health, which he co-founded with his son in 2005. For fun, Pat is an avid golfer.
Skyler Stewart
SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, CHANNEL SALES
Skyler has successfully grown global channel partner sales in the wireline, wireless, voice, and cloud industries since 2002. He has served in executive leadership roles for companies including Eschelon Telecom, Integra Telecom, and Telesphere. When away from the office, Skyler enjoys spending time with his family and riding motorcycles.
Jeff Hershauer
VICE PRESIDENT, DEVELOPMENT
Jeff has been successfully delivering enterprise and cloud-based applications since 1999 and was a part of Pat Sullivan’s original Sales Logix team. In his spare time, he enjoys playing guitar, collecting vinyl records, and riding his motorcycle.

Sean Huver, Ph.D.
AI TECHNOLOGY ADVISOR
Sean Huver is a research scientist and veteran of numerous United States Department of Defense DARPA projects. Upon discovering the gaping need for faster response to retail crimes, he created a company named Deep Science to develop the proprietary AI detection software that is now owned exclusively by Defendry. In his spare time, he enjoys doing research and traveling.
Tony Sanborn
Law Enforcement Advisor
Tony has served as a police officer in Arizona since 2004. He has extensive experience in teaching police tactics, advising on multiple policy and procedure boards, and training police K9’s. He has advised Defendry since its inception, applying his expertise to training Defendry’s AI threat recognition software and ensuring that Defendry is well-coordinated with law enforcement protocols for active shootings. Tony also serves as Vice President for the Arizona Law Enforcement Canine Association (ALECA) and is a Certifying Official for the National Police Canine Association. He enjoys spending time with his wife and three children and escaping to Flagstaff, AZ for relaxation, golf, water sports, and snow skiing.
Mario Vassaux
Advanced Technology Advisor
Mario is a seasoned technology executive and entrepreneur with 30 years experience in the development and commercialization of ideas, technology, software, and intellectual property. Since 2010, he has participated in the development of over 30 patents. Mario has been a principal and founder of companies developing products ranging from blockbuster video games to award-winning medical apps. He also serves as an advisor to entrepreneurs, startups, and established companies. In his spare time, he enjoys fly fishing, flying, drones, and technology.
Dustin Hawkinson
Law Enforcement UAS Advisor
Dustin has served as a police officer in Arizona since 2007. He is currently assigned as a detective in his agency’s Tactical Operations Section. Dustin serves as the chairman of the Arizona Tactical Officers Association’s (ATOA) Subject Matter Expert Committee on Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), and travels nationwide in his role as a UAS instructor for the National Technical Investigators Association (NATIA) assisting state, local, and federal agencies in starting drone programs. Dustin is also a pilot and owns an aircraft that he uses for both business and to travel in his free time.
Mike Campbell
UAS Advisor & Trainer
Mike has been involved in the aviation industry since 1985. He is licensed as an FAA commercial passenger pilot as well as an FAA small unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS) pilot. Mike holds credentials from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University World Wide for “sUAS Key Flight Concepts” in addition to credentials from Drone Pilot Ground School for “Flight Proficiency and Operational Safety.” He has designed and built manned experimental airplanes, and he holds national and world speed records. He has also received recognition as a competitive aerobatic pilot.

Harry Wingo
Harry is Chair of the Cyber Studies Dept within the National Defense University’s College of Information & Cyberspace in Washington, D.C. He has held senior government and corporate leadership roles for over 25 years, is a Yale Law Graduate, and also served for more than 6 years as a Navy SEAL officer.
Ray Croghan
Ray is Managing Partner of Croghan Investments, LLC, an investment and consulting firm. He is also a Director of Crocs, Inc.
Rob Schiller
Mr. Schiller is a former President, Chief Financial Officer, and Board Director of Armor Holdings, Inc (NYSE: AH), the former Executive Chairman of Black Diamond Equipment, Inc (NASDAQ: CLRS), and currently Chairman of Urban Mining, PBC of Jacksonville, Florida.
Ron Pruitt
Ron co-founded Placemark Investments in 1999, which was sold to Envestnet in 2014. He is currently an Independent Management Consultant.
Sunny Trinh
Sunny is Vice President of Demand Creation for Avnet and has worked more than 25 years in the electronics and semiconductor industry.
Tom Curzon
As an Attorney at Osborn Maledon, Tom’s practice focuses on serving as outside general counsel to emerging, growth-oriented companies.

Pam Englund
National Channel Manager
Pam brings over two decades of channel experience to Defendry. She has supported and managed partner relationships at Allegiance Telecom, XO Communications, Imation, and most recently Vonage. Pam lives with her husband in Minnesota, and in her spare time enjoys traveling, golfing, exploring the great outdoors.
Mimi Dolan
Vice President, Operations
Mimi has managed development, QA, and customer support teams in the software industry since 1981 for companies including Adobe Systems, NetPro, and Sage Software. She is passionate about advocating for the needs of both technical staff and end customers.
Ryan Zacher
Controller
Ryan has worked as an outsourced CFO/Controller since 2007, garnishing his experience from nearly a decade in the public sector with top-ten accounting firm, RSM McGladrey, and a tenure as Sr. Financial Analyst with Fortune 500 Company, Pulte Homes. A Veteran of the United States Navy, Ryan enjoys traveling, hiking, snowboarding, cheering on the AZ Cardinals, and spending time with his wife and their six-year-old son.
Sanjaya Lohani, Ph.D.
Machine Learning Engineer
Sanjaya is an AI research scientist with extensive experience constructing deep learning techniques, including optimizing quantum technologies for the US Navy and US Army. He holds a Ph.D. in Physics from Tulane University and enjoys traveling and listening to music in his free time.
Michael Morton
Chief Architect
Michael has vast experience in IT as a full-stack architect and developer, and has worked as Defendry’s Chief Architect since its inception. A self-proclaimed technology geek, he is an avid gamer and has been programming since the age of ten.
Nathan Baulch
System Engineer
Nathan has worked as a back-end software engineer since 1999, developing applications for a wide variety of industries including event management, sales, and telecommunications. Nathan is based in Melbourne, Australia and earned his Bachelor of Engineering from RMIT.
Luke Baulch
System Engineer
Luke has been building software solutions since 2005 with a primary focus on back-end architecture, micro-services, software security and authorization, and performance-driven web applications. He lives and works in Melbourne, Australia.
Evaggelia Kritikos
Software Developer
Evaggelia has spent her professional career working primarily on front-end development and architecture, delivering premier end-user experiences. She is a graduate of Fordham University in NY, and spends her free time writing code, reading, slaying dragons, and attempting to engage her cat with string.
David Holt
Graphic Designer
David has been neatly arranging pixels for well over a decade, and his skillful design work has been featured in Communication Arts and won multiple Addy Advertising Awards and international design competitions. He enjoys skiing, kitesurfing, and attending concerts; but his favorite hobby is spending time with his beautiful wife Dana and two daughters Nora and Lucy.
