The Security Challenge
In the wake of widespread gun violence at schools across the US, American Classical Charter Academy (ACCA) is on a mission to be one of the safest schools in Florida.
To comply with Florida law, ACCA had already hired an armed School Safety Officer (SSO). However, Headmaster, Bryan Foster, realized that if the school was ever threatened by gun violence like an active shooting, the SSO, faculty, and students wouldn’t be notified of the emergency right away, prolonging emergency response time.
The Defendry Solution
Defendry Authorized Partner, Blue Fox Group, introduced Defendry to ACCA. When ACCA’s Headmaster realized that the Defendry Alert System could deliver intel about a detected shooter to their SSO, administrators, and local law enforcement in just seconds, he immediately bought it.
Today, Defendry monitors cameras throughout the school, keeping watch for someone carrying a drawn gun onto campus. If a shooter is ever detected, the Defendry Alert System will empower exponentially faster and more-intelligent response, ideally saving many lives.
